ABOUT ANGELO VARRONE
Angelo has been in the B-to-B communications field for over 45 years, starting his career at Gralla Publications, Inc. in New York. He is currently Chairman/CEO of Exponation, which he co-founded in 2002. From 1984 to 1998 Angelo was President/CEO of Shore-Varrone, Inc. (SVI), an Atlanta based B-to-B communications company, that grew from $3 million in sales to $30 million under his leadership. SVI’s portfolio of 11 magazines and 7 trade shows was sold to VNU, Inc. in 1998. Angelo has served on the board of directors of the American Business Media (ABM) trade association and was vice-chair of ABM’s marketing committee. He received the Specialty Equipment Markets Association’s Athena Award, for contributing to the professional advancement of women in the automotive aftermarket.
ABOUT CHRIS GIBBS
Chris co-founded ExpoNation LLC in 2002. As sales manager, he successfully launched the company’s first trade show and conference – LightShow/West. In 2004 Chris lead the sales effort to launch Digital Signage Expo (DSE) which quickly became a worldwide leader in this growing market. Chris was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2006, with responsibilities for all of Exponation’s trade show and internet sales activities. In October 2008, he was promoted to president and COO. Chris resides in Marietta, GA with his wife and three children. He enjoys spending his free time fishing, and watching his children participate in sports.
ABOUT COLIN BERRY
Colin joined Exponation in 2004 and currently serves as Operations Manager for all company tradeshows, including the Digital Signage Expo, LightShow West, LED Specifier Summit and CorpComm Expo/EduComm Expo. His extensive experience with assisting exhibitors in all facets of preparation for Exponation events has helped prepare him as he has transitioned into the operations side of the tradeshow industry. Colin has been integral part of the growth of Exponation and its tradeshows from the earliest days of the company. A 33 year resident of Atlanta and a graduate of the University of Georgia, Colin is an avid Bulldogs, Falcons, Braves, Hawks and soccer fan.
ABOUT CHRIS BRENNAMAN
Chris joined Exponation in 2013 as Digital Media Editor and currently serves as Conference Manager. He is responsible for planning and overseeing the conference program for Digital Signage Expo (DSE), CorpComm Expo, EduComm Expo, LightShow West and LED Specifier Summit. Prior to joining Exponation, Chris was a Writer/Editor for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and has also served as a Senior Research Analyst at Chartwell, Assistant Sports Editor at The Meridian Star and News Reporter at WTOK-TV, where he earned first place for “Best Feature Photography” in the Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters Association awards. A graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Chris also earned an MBA from Cumberland University in 2011. He currently resides in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, with his wife, Meigan, and their two dogs. A native of Kansas City, Chris is also an avid Royals and Chiefs fan.
ABOUT CASSIE CANTRELL
Cassie joined the Exponation team in 2017 and is the office assistant. She is responsible for office administration and assists with all Exponation events. Prior to joining Exponation, Cassie spent almost 3 years in social work. She obtained her Bachelor degree in psychology from Valdosta State University. Cassie currently resides in Atlanta where she loves staying active outdoors by exploring new hiking trails around the area, and taking advantage of all activities Atlanta has to offer.
ABOUT RUSS EISENHARDT
After officially retiring in 2013, Russ continues to serve as a professional consultant to Exponation, assisting with the production of the Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas and LightShow West in Los Angeles. He joined Exponation as President in 2004 after serving as both Vice President and Group Publisher at VNU, Vice President-Trade Shows at Shore-Varrone, and as President of his own trade show production company in Chicago.
ABOUT CAMMY FARONE
Cammy joined the Exponation team in 2015 bringing over 25 years of creative experience in web development, graphic design, social media management and marketing. As web administrator, Cammy develops and maintains the company’s numerous show web sites, creates graphics for social media and marketing materials, and produces the company’s newsletters. She lives in Marietta where she and her husband enjoy gardening and nature photography.
ABOUT CORY FAUSZ
Cory is an award-winning media and marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience in consumer and business media and events. A graduate of Yale University, she has held management positions at Gannett, Cox Communications and Nielsen Business Media (formerly VNU) and has served as Communications Manager for Exponation since January 2012. She is responsible for attendee and exhibitor marketing for the stable of Exponation events and oversees the company’s websites and brand management. Cory is an avid gardener and cook and lives in Alpharetta, GA.
ABOUT CHELSEA FRY (MADELEY)
Chelsea joined the Exponation team in 2016. She works alongside the show directors acting as the point of contact for exhibitors to organize, collect, and manage all vital materials. Additionally, she schedules and manages advertising execution for exhibitors. Before Exponation Chelsea worked as a Client Relationship Coordinator allowing her to expand her sales and project management skills while working with numerous business owners across the nation. Graduating with honors, Chelsea obtained her Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a focus in Leadership from Georgia Gwinnett College. Outside of work, she enjoys riding her horse, spending time with family, her husband and "fur babies."
ABOUT CRAIG HENDERSON
Craig is a 20-year veteran advertising executive with a successful background in B2B sales and sales management, across multiple vertical segments. He currently oversees our online initiatives for all Exponation products, and is Business Development Manager for Digital Signage Expo. When we first started Exponation, Craig managed the sales staff and increased market share and revenues for VMSD, and the International Retail Design Conference, and has been instrumental in the launch of numerous other initiatives for Exponation. He has a consultative marketing & advertising approach, and is a big picture thinker who is helpful to clients looking for unique ways to engage our exclusive audiences.
ABOUT JEN HENDERSON
Jen has 7+ years experience in social media and website management, inbound marketing, digital marketing, animation and content development for B2B and B2C. In addition to marketing, her responsibilities include managing social media for Digital Signage Expo, Digital Signage Connection, LightShow West and the LED Specifier Summits, as well as monitoring SEO, online presence and Google Analytics. She's also a trained historian with advanced degrees in Early American History from Florida State University, where she earned awards and fellowships for her writing and research and taught courses as a Graduate Instructor. In her free time, Jen loves traveling with her husband, studying human nature and ideas, mastering new skills, reading/watching sci-fi and relaxing in the middle of her herb garden.
ABOUT HELEN KANG
Helen is the Conference Director at Exponation LLC, primarily responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of conference programs at Digital Signage Expo, LightShow West, LED Specifier Summit, Connected Tech Expo and more. She maintains an active knowledge of the industry to ensure delivery of timely and relevant content, and oversees the speaker submission/selection process.
ABOUT JASON KUSHNER
Jason is a screenwriter, filmmaker and multimedia journalist. After film school, he attended USF to graduate with a journalism degree. Since then, Kushner has shot video and written for a myriad of publications and multimedia projects including Creative Loafing Tampa, Gogobot.com and TBO.com. His 2009 documentary American Colonies: Collapse of the Bee explored the phenomenon of Colony Collapse Disorder in honeybees and the various environmental/economic repercussions. The film became an Official Selection at 12 international film festivals, won Best Documentary at the 2009 Central Florida Film Festival and a John Muir Gold Award at the 2009 Yosemite Film Festival. In 2015, he became the Digital Media Editor at Exponation in Atlanta where he puts his combination of film and journalism skills to good use.
ABOUT KYLER POST
Kyler is responsible for advertising sales across Exponation’s wide array of trade shows and online channels, including Digital Signage Expo, Digital Signage Connection, LightShow, the West Coast Lighting Insider, LED Specifier Summit and the CorpComm/EduComm Expo. Before joining Exponation in 2015, Kyler worked in the television news industry, specializing in social media, public relations and marketing. A lifelong Georgian, Kyler received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia. He is a self-identifying sports addict, politics nerd and music snob. Kyler also enjoys playing piano and singing at gigs throughout the Southeast in his spare time.
ABOUT BLAKE SWARTZ
Blake joined the Exponation team in March 2016 as an Administrative Assistant. He has now taken on a new role as our Attendee Relationship Specialist. He manages attendee relationships for all
Exponation events, including Digital Signage Expo, LightShow West, Connected Tech Expo, and LED
Specifier Summit. Blake also provides administrative support for database management and social media. Born and raised in Georgia, Blake is an Atlanta sports fan and as a food junkie he is always looking for the next hidden gem. Blake lives in Dunwoody and likes to spend time with his family and friends.
ABOUT ANDREA VARRONE
Andrea is the Show Director for Digital Signage Expo (DSE). She joined Exponation, LLC in 2008 as a sales associate. She was promoted to Sales Manager in 2011, after achieving significant sales milestones in her territory. That combined with her increasing knowledge of the industry and relationship building within the digital signage community led to her promotion in 2015 to Show Director. She completed her Digital Signage Experts Group Certification in July, 2012. Andrea is a graduate of the University of Georgia.
ABOUT KAREN VARRONE
Karen has served as the Co-Chair of the Education Committee of the Digital Signage Federation (DSF), the international association that represents the digital signage industry. She has also held senior positions in with World Travel Partners/BTI and Freeman Expositions. Prior to joining Exponation, Karen used her 30 years of event and hospitality experience to found The Mission Group, a company focused on helping corporations achieve substantial ROI from their events by developing strategically creative approaches to marketing, incentives, registration, housing and production management.
ABOUT BRUCE WILSON
Bruce has worked in the trade show/expositions and hospitality industries for over 30 years. Bruce has spent over 20 years in the business-to-business international trade show / event producing industry as Senior Director of Operations, and Executive Director, Operations for Nielsen Expositions (formerly VNU) and Thomson Financial respectively. Bruce has directed operations for such international events as the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), Hospitality Design and GlobalShop. Bruce began his career with the Institute of Industrial Engineers as Conference Director, and Director, Continuing Education as well as Conference Services Manager with the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead Hotel.
ABOUT GERI WOLFF
Geri is a communications professional with over 40 years of experience in marketing planning, advertising, promotions and publishing. As founder, President & CEO of Market Works International (MWI), a business development and strategic marketing firm, Geri has been active in the digital signage industry for nearly a decade. She is retained by both Exponation (on behalf of DSE, CCE and ECE) and the Digital Signage Federation in marketing and communications capacities. Headquartered in the US, MWI also has an affiliate office in Europe and specializes in helping clients develop their businesses to achieve greater profitability through innovative marketing programs and to their target audiences.
